Greenrun was founded in 2025 by David Coon.With a background in time-critical logistics and renewable energy systems, David spent his early career coordinating the logistics transport of over a 75 organs for transplant surgery, hundreds of bio-specimens, critical medical equipment, and time-sensitive part components for leading U.S. aerospace manufacturers.
Before transitioning into renewable energy, he worked as a quality analyst improving medical transport processes that addressed a long-standing issue:
life-saving organs arriving too late for transplant due to preventable delays.
Most recently, he has introduced renewable energy systems to Virginia residents and businesses looking to reduce their carbon footprint through solar energy and battery storage. Inspired by the growing need for sustainable supply chains and the experience of delivering life-saving shipments, Greenrun applies that same commitment to building a more sustainable logistics model.
